Best Asheville Specialty Shopping

As part of our $25 million in restoration and enhancements, we are upgrading our on-site shopping selections. Currently in the works in the Vanderbilt Wing, where our four retail storefronts used to be, will be three interconnected shops providing guests with the perfect way to take home a little piece of The Grove Park Inn or just relax with a cup of coffee. Our ever-changing selection of items will range from logoed merchandise to unique crafts from around the world. Featuring something for everybody, no matter how big or small your budget.

As you can see from the images above, one of our new retail shops is "The Pink Pig". A name that harkens back to Grove Park Inn founder E.W. Grove, who made his fortune by selling a cure for malaria known as Grove's Chill Tonic. The advertising slogan for this special formula said that it would make babies "as fat as pigs." This specialty shop will feature, among other things, a delectible selection of candy and treats for kids of all ages.
